Internet is a wonderful thing. From your home you can see any place in the world and read thousands of books. You can even make a course through the web and get a certificate in many schools and colleges. You can find great hints for people who are trying to make a site, like us.
But the web has a bad side too. It’s open to anyone and to anything, so it’s easy to find almost anything you can think about, good and bad things, culture and garbage.
One of the most popular types of garbage are the hoaxes. What is an hoax?
It’s a lie, it’s something that doesn’t exist, but many times it’s so well presented that lots of people believe them, because they look like crystal truth. It seems many people stopped thinking after they got a computer. They believe in anything  put in front of their eyes. They don’t even consider the possibility of being deceived and become victims of viruses contained in emails like:  “send this to 10 people and something good will happen” or “if you don’t send this to 100 people something terrible will happen to you”.

Of course all these useless messages, called spams, besides bringing you viruses and spy programs, don’t do anything but jamming the web.
Use your brain when you are using your computer. Stop opening unfamiliar emails; don’t believe in everything you see. If a paper can take anything the same works for the internet. Remember that any idiot can write and upload his garbage just for the fun of it.

A internet é uma coisa maravilhosa. Da sua casa você pode ver qualquer lugar do mundo e ler milhares de livros. Você pode até fazer um curso através da web e receber um certificado em muitas escolas e faculdades. Você pode achar ótimas dicas para quem está tentado fazer um site, como nós.
Mas a web tem um lado ruim. Ela é aberta a qualquer um e qualquer coisa, por isso é fácil achar quase qualquer coisa em que você possa pensar, coisas boas e ruins, cultura e lixo.
Um dos lixos mais populares é o “hoax” (trote). Mas que é um trote?
É uma mentira, algo inexistente, mas que muitas vezes é tão bem apresentado que muitas pessoas acreditam nele, por se parecerem com verdade cristalina. Parece que muita gente parou de pensar depois que conseguiu um computador e acredita em qualquer coisa posta diante de seus olhos. Elas nem mesmo consideram a possibilidade de estarem sendo enganadas e se tornam vitimas de vírus contidos em e-mails tipo: “envie isto para 10 pessoas e algo maravilhoso vai acontecer” ou“ se você não mandar isto para 100 pessoas algo terrível vai lhe acontecer”.

É claro que estas mensagens inúteis, chamadas “spams”, além de lhe trazer vírus e programas espiões, não fazem nada além de congestionar a web. (internet).
Use seu cérebro quando estiver usando seu computador. Pare de abrir e-mails não solicitados; não acredite em tudo que vê ou lê. Se um papel pode aceitar qualquer coisa, o mesmo é válido para a internet. Lembre-se que qualquer idiota pode escrever e colocar na web  seu lixo só para se divertir.
